At this year's 85th Academy Awards' red carpet, a sea of glitz and glamor filled the 85th Academy Awards's red carpet in Hollywood, CA yesterday. Many female celebs made a splash at Hollywood's biggest event by wearing shimmering dresses or statement earrings and bracelets with an elegant, unadorned dress. Most women wore softer silhouettes with a dropped waist or trumpeted shimmery, metallic or light colored dresses. From what I noticed at this year's Oscars, the jewelry trend that these stars set was to embellish a simple couture dress with either a statement necklace with small earrings or large, dangling earrings with a bare neck. Supporting actress award winner, Anne Hathaway, achieved this look with a gorgeous pink dress, diamond collar necklace worn backwards, and diamond studs. Another trend  was to accessorize sequined dresses with simple earrings either in gold or platinum and diamonds, such as nominee, Jessica Chastain.  She wore a glittering, wave-patterned Armani rose-colored dress with simple diamond vintage earrings.
