* Tungsten Carbide is the hardest metallic substance in the world.
* Scratch-resistance is the main reason that consumers are attracted to the product.
* Its more scratch resistant than gold, platinum, titanium or steel.
* Since Tungsten is such a hard metal, its difficult to manufacture, in fact it takes up to 5 times longer to produce a tungsten band than it takes to produce one out of traditional metals.
* The color quality of tungsten is a bit darker than traditional white gold. It has a "gunmetal" quality in terms of color.
* Tungsten is very similar to platinum in weight.

It's a good one for the guys. With the tri-color of the woven design and the detailing at the side, my husband really likes it and I think the gold colors are really good quality. Keep in mind that it is a thick band, it takes while to get used to wearing it.

Beautiful ring! Tungsten carbide is virtually scratch proof and the high polish finish looks great. The trade-off for durability is weight but I've quickly gotten comfortable with it. Previously had a titanium ring that became dull and scratched over the years. GoldenMine was a pleasure to deal with and exchanged my ring twice until we got the perfect size. Completely happy with the entire transaction.
